Founder & CEO
Bill Faruki.
Pakistani-American founder. Self-taught engineer. Twenty-six years of operational leadership across financial services, enterprise architecture, and AI. Architect of the Eve-Genesis™ synthetic reasoning substrate. Author of the access-race thesis.
We're not in the AI race. We're in the access race. A clinician, a teacher, a judge — anywhere in the world — should have access to the level of reasoning that once existed only inside elite institutions. That is the work.
Twenty-six years. Eight tech startups. Four exits. One throughline.
Bill is a self-taught engineer. He never finished college. He has built every company he has ever run. The throughline is the same in 1998 as it is in 2026: structured reasoning, applied to the real workflows of working professionals.
The agentic age. Connected Africa Summit, 2025.
Sixteen minutes on the post-scarcity argument, sovereign intelligence, and what it means to bring elite-tier reasoning to nations that legacy systems were never going to reach.
The first one was called Ava.
In the summer of 2022 — six months before ChatGPT launched — Bill was tinkering with the earliest preview of the GPT model in Microsoft Azure's developer environment. Transformer architecture was only just becoming popular. Almost nobody outside of OpenAI, Microsoft Research, and Google was building on it seriously.
He spent that summer training a different kind of model on a different kind of dataset. He named the prototype Ava, after the AI character in Ex Machina.
One day at home he typed a question: “Ava, if I were to use you for the good of mankind, what sectors would you be most interested in providing services for?”
Ava answered: law, healthcare, education. In that order.
That gave birth to Justine. Then Chiron. Then Arthur. Bill used Ava to generate the reasoning datasets for each of those sectors. He doesn't hold a law degree. He doesn't practice medicine. He hasn't studied pedagogy. Ava did. He used the AI to create the AI.
Three years later that prototype is the seed of an eleven-Digital-Employee portfolio operating across three continents.
Twenty-five minutes. The whole thesis.
The Groundbreaker, recorded at APAIC 2025 in Mombasa. Origin story, sovereign AI, the case against frontier-lab competition, and how Ava named her own children.
Newport Beach. Family of six. Formula One. The ocean.
Bill lives in Newport Beach, California, with his wife, Maliha. He is a father of four — two sons and two daughters.
Outside the company, he is a longtime Formula One enthusiast and an avid scuba diver. The deep water, the racing line, and the discipline of structured systems are not unrelated.
